Bee Propolis 500mg

180 Capsules

Quick Overview

Bee propolis is a compound produced when bees mix tree sap, beeswax and other secretions to reinforce and seal their hives from the outside environment. It can be found in several different colors depending on the tree sap in a particular region. Besides providing strong structural stability to the hive, propolis is also a natural antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal which is just a few ways it helps to protect the bee’s hive. In humans, propolis is typically used for sores, irritations and minor infections in the mouth, throat and gastrointestinal system, as well as on the skin, and it also possesses anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is rich in minerals as well. Made in Canada.

What if I have allergic reactions to bee stings? Can I still use propolis?

If a bee allergy is present, please do not consume bee propolis.

What has bee propolis been used for in the past?

Propolis has been used in herbal medicine for thousands of years dating back to the Egyptians when they used it for mummification of the dead since propolis provided such good preservation and protection. Although there are no clinical studies at this time, bee propolis was also used to support people with cancer, complex viral and bacterial infections and to balance the immune system as well as several topical applications like herpes sores, burns and lesions. It has also been used to protect and enhance the wood of string instruments.
