Krill Oil 500mg

90 Softgels

Quick Overview

Krill oil (Euphasia superba) is a marine shrimp-like zooplankton that is harvested from the Antarctic Ocean. It is rich in essential omega 3 fatty acids and has a potent antioxidant ability. The high levels of DHA and EPA found in Krill oil have received a lot of attention due to its health promoting benefits. Unlike fish oil which is bonded to triglycerides, the DHA and EPA from krill oil are naturally bound to phospholipids which make them dispersible in both water and oil and thus enhance its absorption. The naturally occurring astaxanthin in krill oil has the ability to protect the essential fatty acids from oxidation. Clinical studies have shown that krill oil is effective in alleviating menstrual symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, cramps and/or bloating. It also supports and maintains healthy blood cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose levels.
