We use the finest traditionally harvested functional mushrooms grown on wood (as opposed to rice, soy, or grains). Sourced from the lushly forested countryside in their spiritual homeland of China, our mushrooms have been perfected by fermenting them with our proprietary +45 strain living culture.
In pursuit of the cleanest ingredients, we've prioritized sourcing whole fruiting body mushrooms. Compared with mycelium, the fruiting body of the mushroom contains higher levels of polysaccharides, beta-glucans and other compounds that give mushrooms their powerful health properties.
Unlike mycelium fermentation, our Symbio fermentation process is a post-harvest. fermentation that releases nutrients in the mushrooms, helping our bodies better utilize them.
In unfermented preparations, the hardy cell walls of mushrooms contain indigestible compounds that inhibit absorption. With our Symbio process, we use our kefir-kombucha living culture to break down those cell walls.
