Valerian is a traditional herb used to ease pain, improve sleep, digestion, anxiety, and headaches. Valerian may increase the body’s available supply of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that eases physical tension and stress. Natural Factors Valerian Root 4:1 extract contains the equivalent of 1200 mg dried root per capsule.
Each Capsule Contains:
Valerian 4:1 Extract (Valeriana officinalis) (root)|300mg
(Standardized to 0.8% Valerenic acids) (Equivalent to 1200mg dried root)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Rice starch , gelatin capsule (gelatin, purified water) , vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant) , silica.
1-2 capsules daily, taken a half an hour to 1 hour before bedtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Pregnancy and lactation: Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use
Children: Not recommended for children.
Caution: Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist continuously for more than 3 weeks or worsen. Consumption with alcohol, other drugs or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery or driving a motor vehicle within 2 hours of consumption.
